I was able to sneak out today for a run while my wife took her Mother's Day nap.  It was a nice day around 65 with some wind.  I felt real good probably from the super light week that I had last week.  I am real glad I took some extra time for recovery after the half.  I think now I will be ready to go for a new phase of training.  I really hope that I can kick it up a notch on the training and see what happens.  I plan on this week just doing easy runs but getting the mileage back up then the following week I will start working in some faster runs.  I have 3 straight weeks of travel coming up so hopefully I can stay on track while on the road.

Great run today! I am sorry to hear about the three weeks of traveling. You could look at it like a challenge on reaching your goal of running and not loosing your mind in the process :). Have a good week!

Glad you're feeling good! Also, nice job being sensible and taking a good recovery week. I think this upcoming stretch will be a good one for you.

Barry, unfortunately travel is just part of my job. Maybe one of these days I will be able to find something where I don't have to travel.

Dave, thanks! Usually me and sensible don't go in the same sentence but I am trying to be smarter as I get older.
