Still in Huntsville.  It was a nice morning to run (66, light wind) and I felt good.  Still no problems with the ankle so I stretched it out to 7 miles today.  I am going to try a full week this week to see how my ankle responds.  Still doing the ice and rest as much as possible so hopefully it will respond.  Big news today is I signed up for the Chicago Marathon today so definitely have something to shoot for now.  I am looking at several shorter races for the summer so I can finalize my schedule.  The plan right now for Chicago is to get a Boston Qualifier so we will see how the training goes.

Glad the ankle is feeling good and you are back to normal training.

That is exciting about Chicago, you will do well and get that BQ time. I want to run Chicago one day...

I am really excited about Chicago just hoping the weather is a lot better than last year. You ought to try Chicago some time. It is know for fast times and the weather is usually good. You could probably get an elite staring position so you wouldn't have to deal with the crowds. I have a lot of friends that have ran it and most ran PRs.

Do you go to MSFC for work when you visit Huntsville?

From Jim on Wed, May 21, 2008 at 08:45:11

Jon,

The company I work for, Intergraph, is headquartered in Huntsville and we do work at MSFC but I am not involved in those projects. Most of my work is with the DoD. Do you work with MSFC?

From Jon on Wed, May 21, 2008 at 09:03:11

Yes, I work on the manned space flight program, so I am frequently visiting MSFC. I like Huntsville and always try to make it up to Monte Sano State Park to get a good trail run, too.

Cool! Huntsville is a good city. I lived here for about 3 years but then moved back to Indiana. Sure miss the weather here. I will have to try the trails in Monte Sano but sprained my ankle a couple of weeks ago so don't think I am ready for the trails on this trip.
