I was hoping to do a longer run today but since I was gone all this week I had a lot of things to do around the house plus I wanted to spend some extra time doing some family activities. I did get in 7 miles and felt real good. I did 6 x hills and picked up the pace toward the end to around 7:15 pace. It was a pretty good run. I am planning on being home all next week so I hope to get back on schedule and get my mileage up.

You did a good job logging in the miles here and there throughout the week. Way to make the most out of your time.

Have you figured out your race plans for the upcoming year yet?

Thanks Dave. Yes I am going to focus on some 10k and then build up to try to run a fast half marathon in May. I really wanted to go to Boston this year mainly because so many other people on here are going and I thought it would be great to meet some of you. However, I feel like I am so far behind as far as getting ready for another marathon. I don't want to go up there and just run it for the experience. I want to be able to run a decent time while I am there. I think I will try to run another marathon in the fall. I have thought about New York but am still looking around at options. If you have any ideas on good fall marathons I would appreciate your recommendation. You are coming along nicely in your training for Boston. It is a tough time of the year to train but you are knocking down some solid weeks!

You did the right thing by cutting the run short and enjoying your family. Definitely more important.

I would love to run the New York Marathon this year (if I would run one this year). The only problem is finances. The hotel costs are outrageous. I really want to run the New York marathon before I quit running marathons.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the family.

Good job being dedicated this week.
