Today was one of those days that I was not looking forward to doing a long run. It was 36 degrees and very windy so I was not excited about battling the wind for 20 miles. I started out easy and just felt kind of flat today and a little tired. I ran out 300S to a section of road with some rolling hills and I just looped around this area for 10 miles to try to get more time on the hills. The legs started to feel tired around 14/15 miles but I still picked up the pace the last 5 miles into a head wind. This felt like good practice for the last part of the marathon because it wasn't comfortable. I am glad that I got out and get this long run in. This run was tougher than I thought it would be but I guess it was the combination of the weather and the fact I haven't done a 20 miler in around 6 weeks.

It's tough to get back to 20 mile runs after the fall marathon, especially with less-then-ideal weather. Nice job.

Great job on the run and pushing through the doubts. Looking good for Huntsville.

Tough running! I did 8 miles today in similar conditions, 20 would have been brutal.

Great run. Once you get out the door then your body just switches to running mode. You get focused and before you know it your done, and feel like you've accomplished something.

Thanks for the feedback. It was good to get out and get this long run in so that I can stay on track for Huntsville. We have had some great weather this fall so I have been spoiled a little and today was the first day that I had to push myself out the door. It is a good feeling when you get it done and makes the next time easier.
