It was warmer today but super windy (20 mph).  I was able to get in 18 miles on the bike but had to be back for a meeting or would have done more.  I went out mostly into the wind which was tough but had a good tail wind coming back which was fun.  I was able to average 19 mph which is not bad with that much wind.  I worked it pretty hard and felt good.

Another nice warm morning.  It was less windy today but still blowing around 10 mph.  It was most coming from the side today so didn't effect me as much as yesterday.  Because I worked it hard yesterday I just went at a nice steady pace.  I did 27 miles at an average of around 18 mph.  Not a bad ride.

After taking off 6 weeks to see if I could get my achilles fully recovered, I started back running today.  I have been biking to keep in shape but really been wanting to get back to running for some time.  I have been holding off because I really wanted to finally put this achilles injury behind me. I am hoping that this did the trick.  It was really warm today (almost 80) with a slight wind.  I did some stretching then walked for about 5 minutes to loosen up the foot.  I started off super easy on the running and never ran much faster than about 8:30 pace.  The foot felt good and I didn't have any problems.  Probably could have went further but I really want to take it easy coming back and make sure I don't create any problems for the achilles.  My plan is to continue biking most days and then run every other day as I build back up to full time running.

It was a beautiful day today (80) but pretty windy.  I went out on the bike and did 20 miles.  The route that I took didn't take advantage of the wind.  It seemed like it was always blowing from the side into me.  I pushed a pretty good pace and ended up with an average of 18.4 mph.  Believe it or not my legs had some soreness from running just 2 miles yesterday. Ha.

Another warm and windy day.  Second day of running this week as I try to build back up.  I did some warmups and walking before starting off real slow.  I felt good and didn't have any problems.  I picked the pace up faster than planned on the 2nd mile.  I am trying to keep these super easy until I get more confident that my foot is fully healed.  Glad to get another run in and looking forward to getting back to full time.

It was a nice warm day and was able to get out for a run on back to back days.  I am still working on building back to normal running and felt good so decided to run again today and increase a mile.  I felt kind of tired today but just ran super easy.  It is amazing how much you lose not running.  Even though I have been biking it is different and uses different muscle groups.  Really looking forward to getting back into the normal routine.  I ran at around 8:30 pace but battery on my Garmin died before I finished so not sure of the exact pace.
