Huntington Beach, CA: Last day in CA and got out on a beautiful morning to run along the beach.  There were a lot of people out today and very nice to see and hear the waves rolling in.  It is certainly motivating to run in this kind of environment.  I didn't get a time today because the battery in my Garmin died but picked it up the last part of the run.

I used to live in Newport Beach and would jog that stretch (Newport to the Huntington Pier) at least a couple times a week. Beautiful year round! Hope the vacation is going well.

Dave, it is certainly a beautiful area and a great place to run. The weather was perfect while we were there and the girls had a great time. Do you get to go back and visit sometimes?

It's too difficult with 6 children- part of the reason we moved back East. My in-laws live there, yet are able to travel, so they usually come to us. Most of my family is on the East Coast or MidWest, so we drive when travelling. Maybe some day.
