Beautiful morning today for running. I still have this weird thing going on with my knee it is not really that painful but just enough to notice it while running. After a couple of miles I just decided to turnaround and rest it to see if I can get it taken care of before it turns into something worse. On the way back I was running along and looked up and saw a skunk on the other side of the road. Too close for comfort for me! After I got back I iced the knee and took some ibprofen. I am not sure if I should run tomorrow or not. I am going to see how it goes today then make a decision.

Ran a mile with my daughter who is getting ready for xc. My knee was feeling better.

Try stretching your knee and quads all day. Where on your knee does it feel strange? I would at least try and go a mile tomorrow and if your in extreme pain than quit.

I had a knee pain for about a month and I just kept running and it when away. It felt weird like yours. I would ice it and rub MyMed or Sportscreme on it too.

Your shoes do they have a lot of miles on them?

I think you are right about continuing to run. It is not really that painful. I could have ran much further today but the knee just doesn't feel right so backed off to try to figure out what is wrong. It hurts around the top right side of my kneecap. I have been doing the ice and stretching so I will run tomorrow to see how it feels. Probably just take it easy this week pace wise and see if it gets straightened out. I just don't want to doing anything dumb and mess it up before my marathon in Oct.

Also sometimes a sore knee means that the quad muscle is weak. I would also try doing some strength training on the quad muscle and see if that helps too.

My wife had a sore/pain knee and she had to go through physical therapy on the quad because the weak quad muscle was the problem.
