I got up a little later than I wanted so it was warmer (72) then I hoped but still a good day. I felt ok today but the legs were a little tired. I ran comfortable and easy for most of the run but ran 5 miles in the middle at MP (between 7:10 - 7:25). The MP didn't feel the best. I felt like I was pushing too hard for MP. I thought I might run longer at MP but decided I should probably just run the rest easy and try it another day. This is the highest mileage week for me ever so guess it is normal for the legs to not have much zip in them.

Congrats on the new record mileage.

Great mileage week! Way to press forward with the MP even without "feeling it". Sounds as though your knee's improving.

Nice job getting it done to finish off your highest mileage week ever. I figure these kind of runs even if they're not as fast as we would like them to be, they still hurt, and with the pain we should see some gain down the road.

Thanks for the comments. The knee is better not quite back to normal but not causing any changes in my training. Tom, I hope you are right about the gain down the road.

Your right to shut it down. I've done this several times on long run MP runs. Just getting in the miles is important and the speed will be there when you do a taper. You do feel sluggish sometimes with high mile weeks, but trust me the speed will be there when you need it.
